Rapper, Youngsta CPT is taking over hip hop. Bar by bar, he is becoming one of the most sought-after hip-hop stars in Mzansi. His song Yasis is one of the most popular tracks around. We dig his style, his rhymes and what he stands for.
Last year, the Cape Town-born star bagged the SA hip-hop award for Lyricist of the Year in 2017, and if you’ve listened to his raw and gritty lyrics you would definitely agree. “I rap about reality and tackle social issues. I believe that’s part of the reason for my success,” he told GQ during a recent Spree shoot.
In his latest interview with GQ South Africa, one of our favourite Man Candies, Youngsta Cpt, spilled the tea about the craziest DM he’s ever received.
Recently, AKA took to Twitter to remind Tweeps to practice what they Tweet. The rapper is urging fans of Sbahle Mpisane to ‘actually’ pray for her as she is fighting for her life in ICU, after being in an horrific car accident in Durban. According to reports, Sbahle is off life support but remains in a critical condition. However, it is still unclear what caused the accident.
Prayers for Sbahle too … She’s a fighter! Come on girl. Dig deep.
Kylie Jenner has hailed her daughter Stormi as her “most special gift”.
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star celebrates being 21 on Friday (10.08.18) and ahead of her birthday, she posted two pictures of herself and the six-month-old tot – her first child with boyfriend Travis Scott – on her Instagram account on Thursday (09.08.18).
She captioned the first photo, in which she held Stormi close while the baby chewed her own finger: “bringing in my birthday tonight with my most special gift. What was life before you, Stormi. I love you my little angel.(sic)”
And in the second image, which was taken during the same photoshoot and saw them both gazing at the camera, she wrote: “my heart (sic)”
Kylie wore a simple black dress in both photos, while Stormi appeared to be naked.
She also took to her Instagram Story to compare the photos of herself and Stormi with her own baby photos, with her infant self pictured in the arms of her mother, Kris Jenner.
The photos were the first to show Stormi’s face clearly since the lip kit guru announced in June she didn’t want to feature the tot heavily on her social media accounts.
Responding to a fan who asked why face-on photos of the little girl had been deleted from Instagram, Kylie replied: “Yeah I cut my baby out. I’m not sharing photos of my girl right now.”
And it was previously explained Kylie had taken action because “people had been making nasty comments” about her baby so she made the decision to remove her photos to stop cruel trolls targeting the tot.
A source said: “Kylie felt so protective of her baby when she was pregnant. This is why she didn’t share any bump pictures while she was pregnant.
“After Stormi was born, Kylie was the proudest mom. She couldn’t wait to show off Stormi to her fans. She posted pictures because she was so excited to be a mom.
Happy women’s day, and happy Women’s Month! Yesterday, we asked YOU what you love about being a woman in 2018, and you responded with the following:
Then we asked a few of our favourite women to share their responses as well. And here’s what they had to say:
Expresso Show TV presenter, KFM radio presenter, MC
Being a woman in 2018 is pure awesomeness. There’s something in the air, and this year it feels like shifts are taking place and we’re actually seeing the fruits of change. We’re living in a time where there are so many prominent and influential women killing it in their various industries and leaving the ladder behind for other women to follow.
That we as the “new” generation of woman can embrace what woman before us have fought for; or should I say stood for and take it further. We can use our platforms, like social media, to empower woman and listen to voices that have been hidden or ignored. This is a generation of woman that won’t be put into a box or forgotten, and we are proud of it because the future is female after all.

I feel hugely privileged as a woman living in South Africa in 2018. More so due to the ability to live in a place where there are vast opportunities for growth and connecting with people on a daily basis. I have learned that there is much strength in embracing our femininity and using it to inspire. Our ability to read situations and connect with people emotionally, and through the use of our EQ, is something I am aware of and thankful for every day. I truly love being a woman and as such, I love being me.
What I love about being a woman in 2018 is that we as women are at the forefront of our own narratives. We’re owning what it is to be a woman and are certainly defining what it means to us as individuals. We are not afraid to tell our stories and share them, because in as much as the lessons enlighten us, we share them because we understand the power of shared wisdom and how it can be the guiding light in another’s dark moment.
There’s a massive revolution brewing for women, as we speak! Being alive and active during this time is both powerful and beautiful! Women of 2018 are changing history for the human race… and WE are all part of it!

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian took their feud to Twitter as the latest explosive episode of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ aired.
Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian West battled it out on Twitter as their reality TV show fight aired on TV on Sunday (05.08.18).
The latest episode of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ features a huge row between the pair after Kim slammed Kourtney for not making time for a family photoshoot and called her “the least interesting to look at”.
Kim, 37, ranted: “I can’t handle this anymore. I need Kourtney to not be so f**king annoying with this stick up her ass like she f**king runs this s**t because she doesn’t. She’s the least exciting to look at, so she can be out. She doesn’t do s**t.”
And as the show aired on TV, the pair showed that they have not put the drama behind them, even though it was filmed months ago.
Kourtney, 39 – who has eight-year-old Mason, six-year-old Penelope, and two-year-old Reign with her former partner Scott Disick – wrote: “Watching this fight actually gives me chills. We all have our own priorities. Mine is being a mother.”
A furious Kim – who has five-year-old North, two-year-old Saint and six-month-old Chicago with husband Kanye West – took this as a personal insult and replied: “And mine is not? The shoot was with our kids!!!!! My #1 priority is being a mother as well and I can work too, so can you!”
Kourtney then tried to calm Kim down by explaining that she just wanted to spend more time with her children rather than working.
She wrote: “And I do. But I wasn’t wanting more work, I already felt spread thin. Being a good mother also has a different meaning to each of us. You’re an amazing mother, I’m not taking that away from you.”
However, she finished by explaining that her relationship with her sister had changed for good after the intense fight.
She tweeted: “We’re ride or die. But I don’t accept the way we criticize and judge each other anymore. My personal growth doesn’t allow it (sic).”
Speaking on the show, Kourtney insisted she would no longer spend time with people who upset her, including her siblings.
She said: “I’m not here to be mistreated by my f**king bitch family. Kim saying that I’m the least interesting to look at — who even speaks like that? You don’t say things like that. You guys just have really different values than me. I choose to be a mother to my three kids. I’m not here looking for another job. I already work enough — more than I would like to. What’s natural to me is being a mother. And I don’t expect everyone to have the same interests.
“I’m not going to spend my time, whether it’s my sister or not, with anybody that talks to me that way or thinks that way about me. Everybody has different priorities. At the end of the day, when you die and when I die, it doesn’t matter how much money is in our bank account. What matters to me is my memories. I don’t give a f**k.
“I’m not going to be around people that bring me down on a daily basis. I’m just doing my best.”
Cardi B is convinced her baby daughter Kulture is the spitting image of her younger sister Hennessy.
Cardi B’s baby daughter looks like her sister Hennessy.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker is convinced her four-week-old daughter Kulture, whom she has with her husband Offset, is the spitting image of her younger sibling.
Taking to her Instagram account, Cardi uploaded a video montage of her and Hennessy that a fan had made and wrote: Saw this on my explore page My sistuuurr!! My daughter looks like her @hennessycarolina (sic).”
But, although the little one has inherited the 22-year-old TV star’s features, Cardi thinks Kulture has a “spicy” attitude and is stubborn at times like her daddy Offset.
Taking to her Instagram account, the 25-year-old rapper uploaded meme of a woman glaring at the camera and wrote: “My daughter when I take too long to get her food.”
She added: “My child’s been very very spicy today. It’s cool though I can handle it.”
The ‘Be Careful’ rapper recently joked that, although she’s loving motherhood, her eyes are so “puffy” and her skin is so pale she looks like she’s got “jaundice.”
She said: “I wish I could show you my face but a bitch look f***ed up in the game! Like, my hair’s f***ed up. My eyes are so dark and puffy. Like, I’m wild pale like a bitch looking like she got jaundice. But I just really want to say thank you to everybody … I’m just been so busy and so tired and in like a different world, a different dimension – I like it like that. It’s doing so good…
“Now, let me get back to this mommy thing. Let me tell y’all something. No matter how many books y’all read, advice y’all get, y’all will never be ready for mommy mode.”
Cardi has had help from her parents and sister since bringing Kulture home from the hospital but she doesn’t want to get a nanny until she goes back to work because she wants to spend time learning how to be a mom.
Speaking in another video, she said recently: “So, I’m a very blessed person, I know you see all the blessings God has been giving me. but I’ve been blessed since birth, like since I came out of my mom’s vagina because of my parents – like they are my biggest blessings and I’m so grateful for them.
“My mum has not left my side, this is her first grandchild for her, the last time she had a kid was 22 years ago, so this is all new to her, like it is for me… my sister has not left my side so she’s been great and my dad has been running errands for me in New York.. I haven’t got a nanny yet, I just want to learn how to be a mom and I want to enjoy every single second of it since I’m going back to work.”
